We woke up really early, sign that the jet-lag was still kicking and screaming. After all, the brain thought it’s 14:00 and it was in fact 6 in the morning.

We showed Ioana around The Loop and then we headed for the Apple store. There were more emo-apple “geniuses” than emo-customers.
Conclusions of the Apple store trip:
- the iPhone 4 is great but I’m not impressed with the new design. It’s too edgy.
- we loved the iPad, and we found it hard to let it go. The iPad 2 will be a hit and for sure we’ll grab one … or two.
On our way to the hostel we stopped for a Starbucks coffee and some noodles. They were so good that I forgot to take a picture.

And after that … Everything went south.
- Marica tripped the fire alarm in the Hostel.
- I had to carry Ioana’s heavy crappy broken suitecase for more than 1mile uphill on a 38* weather to the Greyhound station.
- there were no more tickets to Wisconsin Dells. The next train was the next morning.
- we took a Greyhound to Madison just to get closer to destination.
-
-we eventually made it to Wisconsin Dells, but I’m saving the sweet stuff for when we get back.
- Chicago prices do not include sales TAX. 11% for food and for tech stuff the tax is 9.6%
- they are not forced by law to show the full price!!!
- it’s a city we’d love to live in.
- 1st power in the world but local wireless Internet costs 8-19$ / day. Cheapest 3g service: 60$/ month with a 2 yr contract.
