Fuji X10 – Preview

Launched about 2 months ago (with a release date of dec.2011), it aroused interest in the photo-communities world-wide. Lots of fotogs are waiting for a proper review of the camera, to tell them if it`s as good as Fuji makes it look.

All I can say is that in it`s price range … the acquisition is a no-brainer.

Nikon 1 V1 Preview

For those who landed on this page thinking this preview will be full of ISO 100-6400 pictures … you`ll be slightly disappointed. I healed the pixel peeping illness about 2 years ago by shooting one Leica, one lens and 1 type of film for the entire year so this article is about the overall experience I had with the camera.

Burgundy _ France

So here we are, the day we drank wine from sunrise to sundown: We started the trip in Dijon, took the highway all the way down to Beaune, than we headed futher down towards Puligny-Montrachet. That was the southern-most point of our trip, that day. From there we went to Meursault, Volnay, Pommard, Nuits-Saint-Georges and from there straight home. We…

Lyon _ France

We arrived in Lyon 1h before sundown so we managed to get a map from the tourist info point, and went on foot north from Place Belecour towards the Opera, and then up and down on parallel streets in between these points. All the people were photogenic and dressed really good. It was like Paris, minus the black people (no,…

Chamonix _ France

The next day we hopped in the card for a 280km on the freeway towards Chamonix. As expected, it rained allot. We were really hoping for good weather there. There`s no worst way of visiting Chamonix than on a rainy day. We had two of them! The first day we took the special train that takes people to The Glacier…

Dijon _ France

After our 5 days in the Netherlands, we took the Thalys train to Paris Nord, hopped on the metro towards Garre du l`Est and from there after a 3h ride, we hopped off in Dijon. We stayed at a Motel ~50km from Dijon but we spent the 1st day in France in the town renowned for it`s Mustard. The old…

Netherlands _ 2011

So, as you probably know I made it. I`m an architect. So to celebrate this and a friends 30th birthday (2 in 1) we headed to the Netherlands for a week. 4 out of 5 days it rained cats and dogs, but we managed to squeeze some strolling time in between the showers. The pictures ar here just to reboot…

About Productivity

Hi there, I have recently reinstalled my operating system and because it took me half a day to get everything back the way it was (less the clutter), I decided it may be helpful to somebody if I wrote a little entry about my favorite productivity software packages and a few tips and tricks. (OS X alternative, at the bottom…

iPhone 4 Wallpapers

A while back I upgraded to the iPhone 4 and when that happened I started looking for a nice wallpaper for the home screen. There are some crazy ones out there but I tend to get bored really fast with them. So I made my own. Now I`m sharing 5 of them with you guys.

Picks of USA 2010, updates and more…

Oh boy! It`s been so long since I last wrote something here. I want to apologize for being MIA but I have been working my ass off for the graduation. (yes, am 2 months away from “architect” title). I have some bad news and some good news. Bad news first: in the coming 2-3 months I`ll keep a fairly low…

#070 – Best of luck, Bro!

I’m late 10 days for my best friend’s anniversary but I guess better late than never. I waited for someone to bring me back my HDD, because I had the pictures for this entry on that drive.

This might be “the first day of the rest of his life” so hopefully the pictures …

#040 – Fall is Here … Early

For the past 3-4 days a cold front arrived in the Dells. No, it’s not overcast. The weather is splendid, but at 8 o clock in the morning a t-shirt is not enough anymore. I had to put my sweatshirt on yesterday … in the middle of freaking August! with a clear blue sky over my head. Today, on a…

#030 – Restaurant Business

For the past few days I have been working two jobs, and this is the main reason for my absence.

The first one at Wilderness Resort is something of a routine. I work between 10-17, five days every week. The schedule changes every week but Dave (our food and beverage manager) …

#024 – Living The Dream

For the past few days (5 to be precise) we have been training at the 2nd job. I am training as a server and Jo as a hostess. Word of advice: Never start as a server at the biggest restaurant in town!

Just some numbers to crunch on:

– Restaurant Name: Buffalo Phil’s Grille
